Privacy Policy
Updated: 9 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Relectus ("we", "us", or "our") processes personal data when you use the Sixes mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service").
1. Data controller and contact
Relectus is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@sixesapp.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account and profile data: player number, display name, country, avatar, friends, privacy preferences, and identifiers supplied by Apple, Google, or another sign-in method. We may receive an email address when the sign-in provider supplies it.
- Game data: games, opponents, moves, scores, ratings, statistics, invitations, and associated timestamps.
- Communications: game chat messages, blocks, mutes, reports, report reasons, and chat context you choose to include in a report.
- Device and technical data: push-notification subscription ID, platform, app version, user agent, IP address, diagnostics, and server logs.
- Purchase data: product and entitlement status and the information needed to validate purchases with Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Advertising and consent data: consent choices and, where permitted, advertising or device identifiers used by Google AdMob.
- Optional device data: a contact email selected through the contact picker for player lookup or invitation, a photo or camera image selected for your avatar, and your device coordinates if you tap Locate country. We do not upload your entire address book or store location coordinates in your Sixes profile.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- create and secure accounts and authenticate sign-ins;
- operate games, matchmaking, invitations, chat, rankings, and player statistics;
- send requested service and push notifications;
- process subscriptions, purchases, and premium entitlements;
- show ads and manage advertising consent;
- prevent abuse, investigate reports, troubleshoot, and protect the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we process data as necessary to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Sixes, to comply with law, and on the basis of consent where required, including for personalized advertising and certain device permissions. You may withdraw consent through the app or device settings.
5. Visibility and sharing
Other players can see information needed to play, such as your display name, country, avatar, player number, game activity, and scores. Your game statistics are visible according to your in-app privacy setting. Chat messages are visible to participants in that game.
We may share data with service providers that help us deliver Sixes, including:
- Apple and Google for authentication and purchase validation;
- OneSignal for push notifications;
- Google AdMob for advertising and consent management;
- country.is for an approximate country suggestion based on your IP address; the country suggestion may also fall back to your device language-region setting. You can correct it during onboarding or in Settings. We store the selected country, not the IP lookup result or IP address in your profile;
- For an optional country lookup when you tap Locate country and grant location access, your coordinates are sent to the Sixes backend for a lookup against a locally hosted Natural Earth map. Coordinates are not stored; Sixes stores only the country you choose from the result. Older app versions instead send coordinates directly to BigDataCloud for that lookup. You can deny or later revoke location access in device settings;
- hosting, storage, security, and infrastructure providers; and
- authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention and account deletion
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Retention varies by data type and may reflect security, dispute, accounting, and legal requirements. You can delete your account from the app settings or follow our account termination instructions. Account, profile, linked sign-in, and avatar data are then scheduled for removal. Limited game, transaction, moderation, backup, or security records may be retained where necessary, with access restricted and data minimized where possible.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to processing. You may also withdraw consent. Use the in-app settings where available or email us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You can manage public statistics in Sixes Settings, notifications and tracking permissions in your device settings, and advertising consent through Google's privacy options when available in the app for your region. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
9. Children
Sixes is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental consent at a higher age, a child must have that consent before using the Service. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without the required permission.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the Service or applicable law changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice where legally required.
Read our Terms of Service or contact support@sixesapp.com with questions.
